I will be forever grateful to everyone involved in this show for many things, but it has always been a dream to get a Tony nomination and I’m thrilled that today, the beautiful score I co-wrote with Joy Huerta has been recognized with a nomination for “Best Original Score, Music and Lyrics.” Also a HUGE congrats to the incomparable Justina Machado, who was recognized with a Tony Nomination for “Best Featured Actress in a Musical.”

First reading of REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES in NYC

We just wrapped our first full reading of REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES, beautifully rendered by our talented performers (including Justina Machado and Leslie Kritzer), our director Sergio Trujillo, and our music director Nadia DiGiallonardo, who managed to also put together a 4-piece band in 2 days!! Huge thanks to our producing team, and to my partners in crime, Book writer Lisa Loomer, and my co-composer/lyricist, Joy Huerta.
